Mentor Session on Blockchain Technology

There is always a question in everyone’s mind about the adoption of Blockchain Technology, which is just a new form of decentralized database and is changing the foundation of our economic and social systems. To discuss the same, IIML-Incubator IIM Lucknow organized a mentor session, “Savoir Faire with Mr. Ashish Banerjee – A Brief Introduction to Blockchain, Business, and Technology”. The session was attended by students of IIM Lucknow, Start-ups, Entrepreneurs, and Faculty members from IIM Lucknow. The mentor Mr. Ashish Banerjee has more than 25 years of experience in software development. He is an Open Source Evangelist and has guided more than 18 Master of Technology thesis projects for I.E.T.E and IIT Delhi. At Sun(now Oracle), he is a Principal innovator for making Java faster on Multi-core Processor Architecture and has also contributed in the first rewrite of FUSE kernel module to OpenSolaris.org. Microsoft has recognized him as a .NET community Star. The whole interactive session revolved around the basics of Blockchain, how a trustless trust algorithm can change the world, the evolution of Blockchain, myths, and facts related to Blockchain, and Specific Use Cases and Projects with the start-ups to add value to their respective products. In the end of the session, a case study profile for one of our incubated start-up, Jan Elaaj was built and the same would be discussed in the upcoming series of sessions in collaboration with student groups of IIM Lucknow. At the sidelines, Mr. Banerjee also interacted with other incubated start-ups of IIML-Incubator, IIM Lucknow. It was a great mentor session with Mr. Ashish Banerjee!
